Common issues & how to fix them

No cards on the map

Location permissions may not be enabled. Here's how to fix it:

Browser permissions (Chrome / Firefox / Safari):

  1. Tap the padlock or info icon in the address bar
  2. Find "Location" or "Permissions" in the menu
  3. Set it to Allow
  4. Reload the page

Reset browser permissions:

  1. Open your browser settings
  2. Go to Site Settings → Location
  3. Find Echo Hunt in the blocked list and remove it
  4. Reload and tap "Allow" when prompted

Enable location for Safari on iOS:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone/iPad
  2. Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security
  3. Tap Location Services
  4. Scroll down to Safari Websites
  5. Set to While Using the App or Ask
  6. Return to Echo Hunt and reload
🚫

Username isn't allowed

Do not use bad words or words close to bad words. Choose a clean, friendly username and try again.

Token is missing

If you've lost your resume token and can't access your account, contact us at joelpeapps@gmail.com and we'll help you recover your progress.

🎴

Card isn't collected

Make sure you're using high precision location. On iOS, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Safari Websites → While Using App. On Android, open browser settings and enable "High accuracy" GPS mode. You must be within ~10 metres of the card for it to collect automatically.
